Our first meeting will be either by phone or in person to decide if we are a good fit.

Phone & Email Support

I provide support via email, text, and phone, addressing any concerns you may have about your pregnancy and upcoming birth.

2 Prenatal Visits (or more)

We will have two prenatal visits (one visit may include meeting a back-up doula as well) in which we will go over your needs, concerns, and plan for your birth. We may have more than one visit depending on the package you choose.

First touch

During Labor

When labor begins, I prefer that you call me when you think you are in labor, even if you do not yet need me. This gives me time to clear my calendar. I can answer questions and make suggestions over the phone. We will decide if I should come right then or wait for further change. I typically need approximately 1 hour to get to you from the time you ask me to come depending on how far apart we are. We will also decide where to meet—at your home, or the hospital, or birthing center.

Breastfeeding Support

If you choose to breastfeed your baby, I am here to help. We will work together to help your baby latch to your breast and find creative ways to breastfeed whenever and wherever possible.

Postpartum follow-up visit (or more)

Within two weeks of giving birth, I will visit you and your partner at home to ensure you are adjusting well to being new parents. I am there to reflect on the birth experience, to discuss any concerns that arose during labor, and to provide support in any way I can. Depending on what you need, I can offer anywhere from 2 hours of postpartum support up to 6 weeks.

We will work together to help your baby feel comfortable at your breast and find creative ways to breastfeed whenever and wherever possible.

Cook multiple meals and do all house cleaning

I cook a meal for your family depending on what you need that day, however I do not cook and prepare meals for the whole week. I do light housekeeping such as laundry, dishes, and wiping down surfaces, although I do not do any deep cleaning.

Newborn Care, Sleep Consulting, and Baby Soothing Techniques

Newborn babies are wonderful, and can be challenging to take care of at first. I help parents adjust to life with their new family member by assisting with diapering, bathing, feeding, and comforting the baby before sleeping. Most babies sleep much better when surrounded by some of the soothing sensations they enjoyed in the womb. This includes swaddling, side/stomach positioning, creating a sound rich environment, swinging your baby, and letting them suck on their fingers. I will guide you in learning to work with your baby to help them adjust to life in this big new world.

Light Meal Preparation and Light Housekeeping

Coming home from the hospital is tough for some parents to think about. What will they do? How will they eat? So many questions come to parents minds once baby is at home and mom is recovering. I help out by cooking for new parents and working with you to find out what you like, what food restrictions your family has, and providing healthy nutritious options for the whole family. I also help out around the house if anything needs to be folded, or washed.

Running Errands

Juggling all the tasks of new parenthood can be difficult to say the least. As your doula, I help make your life easier by helping out with grocery shopping, picking up dry cleaning, and doing a variety of errands for you and your family.

Postpartum Doula Fee - $40/hr

Drive clients in my own personal vehicle

I do not drive clients or their children in my own car. I prefer not to drive clients in their car as well. I drive my own car to pick up groceries, and to run any errands necessary.
